Stamp rally of UJi
Tuesday was the coldest day in this year. And it was the last day of the UJi-stamp rally.
The rally route was the sightseeing area of the Uji-city. And they had two routes, the basic course and the good walker course. Recklessly, I walked the good walker course out of curiosity. I did not know details of the route, so it seemed that the route is very easy by the illustration map. What tough course it was, it was the harder more than my image. It took about five hours to get the goal, it included the lunch time. I walked from the UJi station to the Byodoin-temple, to get the 22 stamps. It was really good walking though, when I reached the middle point of the course, I was I visited many new places, which I had never been there, though I visited many places on weekend walking. It was small discovery tour for me. And I could learn about many historical places and sightseeing places, which were concerned about Genji-story. I think, I can guide you around the Uji sightseeing area with the illustration map. I recommend the basic course; you can get the main sights. It will take about one and half hours. Unfortunately, it was still early to see the colored leaves. But, I could check many places, which would get good colored leaves soon. I wanted to visit many places again after two weeks to get the photo.
火曜日は今年一番の冷え込みだった、宇治の観光名所を巡るスタンプラリーの最終日、コースは基本コースと健脚コースの二コース、イラストの地図では楽そうだったので健脚コースへ挑戦した。なんてタフな健脚コース、想像とは大分違った、昼食をはさんで約五時間宇治駅から平等院のゴールまで完歩、平等院の入り口のポイントで２２個目のスタンプをゲット。
コースの真ん中で通り雨に会ったけど、今まで知らなかった沢山の名所に行くことができ、探索小旅行のような気分、源氏物語ゆかりの地を沢山知る事ができた。これで宇治観光のガイドは完璧にできる、この地図さえあれば、紅葉には少し早かつたが、新しいピントを沢山発見できた、二週間ほどしたら、見ごろになるだろう、又、写真を撮りに来よう。

＊ I had a lunch at the top of the daikich-mountain, the lunch was on the side of the lunch box.
＊ 大吉山の上で昼食、リックの中の弁当は偏っていた
＊ I got the commemorative badge at the goal of nakanoshima park.
中ノ島公園がゴール、完歩記念バッジをゲット

Chidon-ya
I saw the Chindon-ya by chance after a long time, on my way to go the post office.
I was surprised; they were still being in existence.
When I was a boy, I saw the Chendon-ya at the shopping street many times.
It was the typical publicity method, because, there were no Internet and no Color TV.
And one other typical method was the new paper and the advertising leaflet.
I parked a car at the road side, to get the photo.
But I left my camera at my house, and then I got the shot with the cellular phone’s camera
Therefore the quality of the photographs were rough a bit.
It was dear to me.
And, it recalled my happy memory a moment. So it was really happy time to me.
（郵便局へ行く途中で、ちんどん屋に出会った、まだ､あるんだ！ 驚かされた、子供の頃に商店街でよく見かけた、そのころの宣伝方法といえば、新聞の広告とチラシ、今の様のインターネットもカラーTVも無かったからなあ・・・
写真を撮ろうと車を道端に停めたが、あいにくカメラを家に置いてきたので、携帯電話のカメラで数枚写真を撮った、そんなわけで、画像は大分荒い、ちんどん屋、懐かしかったな、子供の頃を一瞬思い出した。）

Yellow and red
As I looked back, the old lady pointed her cellular phone‘s camera at the tree.
It seemed she was aiming her camera at the big ginkgo tree, which had yellow leaves.
I guessed she was a tourist.
She sighted her camera on the red bridge and yellow tree. And I sighted my camera on the red bridge, yellow tree and old lady who put on red hat and carried yellow rucksack on her back.
It was same colors.
It was autumn contrast. I guessed, she likes the yellow color.
（振り合えると、中年の女性が携帯電話のカメラを構えていた、銀杏の大木を狙っている様だった、観光客のようだ。
彼女のファインダーには黄色い銀杏の木と赤い橋が入っている。私のカメラには黄色い銀杏の木と赤い橋、そして赤い帽子を被って黄色いリュックを背負った彼女が入っている、同じ色だ、秋のコントラストだ, 彼女は黄色が好きなんだ、きっと。）

Dumplings(DANGO) is better than Temples.
The leaf had begun to tinge red color at Kiyomizu-temple on last Friday, It seemed the real autumn would soon be there. I hope that there would be busy soon with many tourists. I visited Ohtani-temple, because October 23 falls on my father’s death day. And I took a walk around there after I visited to father’s grave. I went through a narrow slope of north side of the Ohtani-temple. It took about 10 minutes to reach the top of the slope. Much grave were both sides of the slope, I guessed that walking there on night, was really scary. The slope led to the Kiyomizu-temple, as I reached end of the slope, the teahouse come into my view.
Many young students eat the dumplings(DANGO) chattering. It seemed that they visited there by school trip. Beautiful scene was in front of the teahouse. I guessed that the dumpling was better for them than the autumn view. I am looking forward to seeing beautiful colored leaves in next month. I hope that I will see the Maiko-san again.
(先週の金曜日、清水寺は紅葉が始まりかけていた、本格的な秋もすぐ其処まで来ている、又、観光客で賑わえば良いのだが。
10月23日は父の命日、大谷祖廟へ墓参りに出かけた、帰りに周辺を探索して見た、北側の細い坂道を登ってみた、十分ほでで上り詰めたところは清水寺の境内だった、坂の両側はずっとお墓、夜はなんとも、怖そう。 団子と書かれた茶の横が境内の入り口、沢山の若い学生たちがわいわいとしゃべりながら団子の噛り付いていた、茶の前にはすばらしい初秋の清水寺が広がっているのに、彼らには景色よりの団子のようだ、来月には綺麗な紅葉が見られだろう、楽しみだ、又、舞妓さんにも会えるかな？）

Ebumi-Pass
I headed a car for the north area of the Kyoto. It was the fine day, though large cloud appeared in the center sky. My destination was the Ohara village, which was called the Ohara-nosato in Japanese. There were a little colored leaves on Kanigamo area.I guessed, to see the colored leaves was early a bit, although the color of trees had come to brown. As I reached the Sizuhara-village, the big tree came into my view, so color of the tree was mixed, brown, green and red was. It seemed that there was really the entrance of the autumn. I got the photograph, after I greeted the tree. It took about 10 minutes; I reached the Ohara-village, after I passed the highest point on the road after a long interval. The name of the pass is the Ebumi-toge, which get much snow on the winter. It is the shorter way to the Shiga prefecture, through the Ohara village.
You should not go there on the winter. Usually it is dangerous area, but it is really convenience road. I recommend driving to Ebumi from spring to autumn. It seemed the harvest time was ended already; the field was solitary a bit. But the cosmos showed me beautiful color, which was typical autumn color, in many places. The Ohara village gives us the feeling of the typical Japanese atmosphere. It has the feeling of the classics Japanese village. I like it. Because I can see the nature view of each season always. I visited to Ohara road station to get a rest time. The Saba-zusi and many special products were sold out already, for it was afternoon, it was too late. I stayed there for some time, after that I had the drive again toward Biwa lake.
（車を北へ走らせた、空の真ん中に大きな雲が浮んでいたが、天気は良好、大原の里ヘ向かった、途中、上賀茂周辺では紅葉はまだ見られない、木々は茶色くなっているがまだ少し早いようだ。静原の里に達したとき、緑と茶色と赤色が混じった大きな木が視界に入ってきた。秋の入口のような光景だ、何となく気になり、写真を撮った。更に10分ほど走り峠を越えて大原の里にたどり着いた。峠の名前は江文（えぶみ）峠、冬は雪の覆われる日が多い、大原を通り抜け滋賀県へ抜ける近道、冬は走らない方が安全、でも便利な近道で春から秋にかけてはすばらしいドライブコースだが。
大原の里は収穫が終わり、何となく畑は寂しい感じだ、でもあちこ地道端にコスモスが咲いてて秋の色を見せてくれる、大原の里には日本的な雰囲気が充満している、いつもそれぞれの季節感あふれる景色を見せてくれる、大好きだ、道の駅大原に立ち寄ってみた。すでに午後、鯖寿司や特産の野菜は売り切れている、遅すぎたのかな、少し休んで車を琵琶湖へ向かわせた。）
