Palace Plaza of the Madrid

When I went to the palace plaza of the Madrid. As I passed the line of gray and white, the guard came nimbly at side of me. And suddenly he said something to me with angry voice; I guessed I was warned by guard, though I did not understand his comment. After that, he showed the line to me, and he seemed to say going out side of the line quickly to me. And I said sorry, and went out to the out side of the line. Then he went back to previous position soon.. I see! The line of the gray and white was the boundary line.

After that, I took the photo slowly, and I turned around to go back.. As I began to walk, the sound of the hoofs came into my ears. I turned whipping out the camera from a pocket. However, the Cavalry had gotten to the center place of the plaza already; I pressed the button of the camera in a hurry. With, I wished that the picture would be in clear focus. After the horses took the place, the sound of drum came into my ears. They were continuing the ceremony still on that time. In order that a soldier may take the place. Of course, I set the camera and I pressed the button several times in a hurry again. I was really lucky, because I saw the ceremony at very close place. And, on several years ago, the visitor could not step in the palace plaza, because the plaza was under construction of redecoration.

mP1110837.jpg

There were many visitors who had been taking the photo from the front part of the palace till that minute. But, because their purpose was taking the photo therefore they had already gone back quickly after they took the photo. And they had lost the chance to see the ceremony.

Paella for 35 people

Speaking of the Valencia region of the Spain; Paella is a most famous cuisine. There were many restaurants that were called bar. The pronunciation of bar was BARU; I thought that Japanese people could read easily because it was a romaji style.

mP1110130.jpg

mP1110123.jpg

We went to the bar to try to eat the paella; the restaurant offering as much as we can eat for a standard charge. But, I could not ask for another helping,, because my room was small; I got satisfaction by the one dish quantity.

mP1110125.jpg

mP1110126.jpg

They said that the big dish was for 35 people in quantity
( I thought that the paella had not enough quantity of sea food, unfortunately.)
We drank a toast with a red wine

Inhabitants of Alhambra

We can get very good view of the Alhambra palace from Generalife garden. The building of the palace was the Islam style, therefore the design of the exterior was really simple, but the inside was really luxurious design. It was the typical Islam style, which was the opposite style of the Christian church.

mP1110322.jpg

Actually, I was overwhelmed by the terrific inside structure. As I went into the palace, many beautiful things came into my view one after another. I thought that the Islam was so great that they could build such elaborate designs palace a long time ago. And, I was surprised again because it was built about 500 years or more ago.
I could see many traditional Islam’s patterns on the walls; however many colors of the patterns had faded out from the wall already. But I could make image of the beautiful wall from the color, which was left.

mP1110326.jpg

mP1110318.jpg

mP1110378.jpg

mP1110368.jpg

The view of the Albayzin from the inside was great too, many typical Islam style houses, which have white wall and red color roof, were there, it was wonderful scenery of the beautiful Islam’s town. I guessed that almost people have seen the photo once at somewhere.

m1110360.jpg
As I reached a small plaza, I found small animal group of white. It was kittens; I supposed that the inside of the palace was safety than outside. They did not run away, because no one hurt them and they were not afraid of us. Who were the king and the queen? It looked like really peaceful scene. And I looked at the tree, because the rustling sound came from the tree. I found the pigeon and the sparrow, they was eating the fig on the fig tree. They did not run away too, I thought, and then they did not notice about us because the fig was so delicious. I guessed, the people maybe had seen such same scene long ago at there.

mP1110398.jpg

I did not know the name of the animal of the shadow. But, I guessed, many other animals had been at there; and I could feel many kinds of sound from old times; it was the sound of birds and pets, and laughing voice of people: and the sound of the peaceful wind.

mP1110407.jpg

mP1110413.jpg

Windmill at Lamancha

Speaking of Spain; Don Quixote is one of the famous heroes. I remember, as a boy, I read the book of Don Quixote at library of elementary school.
The scene where he charges at a windmill was the most impressive to me. It was saying that the scene expressed about the discord Spain and Holland because the windmill was the symbol of the Holland a Don Quixote was the symbol of the Spain. I went to see the Windmill at Lamancha, because I heard that the windmill was on the hill of Lamancha. There were several windmills on the hill; the ground was red color, and the sky was grayish blue color: and there were many houses of white wall and red roof at the foot of the hill. It was the typical scenery of the Lamancha of the Dry Spain. I looked for the Don Quixote.

mP1110194.jpg

mP1110200.jpg

“Oh? Is it he? Look at on the roof. There is the shadow, little shadow. You can look.”
Saying about windmill, the Don Quixote is the best combination after all.
BTW.
I wanted to visit the information center, because the only restroom was there.
But the information center was closed.
Why? It was the holiday.
There were many visitors. They said that it was the Spain Style!
The people take precedence of them holiday. Because it was the holiday of the SPAIN!

The Flamenco of the Cave

After the dinner, our car headed to the hill, gone through the narrow slope. Our destination was the ALBAYZIN where we could see the flamenco at cave.
mCAVE flamenco
I was excited, because, I had never seen the live show of flamenco yet. And I would see the flamenco in Spain soon; it would be my first experience. They said that the cave was Gypsy's house a long time ago. The white wall came into my view, after 30 minutes; the small plaza, which was front of the white wall, was really busy. The cave was really narrow, the depth was about 20m and width was about 3m.. I could go into the cave after a while then I got a small chair; it was my space. There was a large audience in the small plaza and about 80 people or more were inside.

mP1110235.jpg

The cave was covered with the noisy atmosphere; after a while, the sound of the palma(handclap) broke the air then the air changed to a tense atmosphere; and they began Jaleo(shout time) and played the guitar soon. And, the step sound answered quickly to the palma(handclap) So it was the show time at the cave.

mP1110266.jpg

mP1110257.jpg

m1110291.jpg

There flamenco was begun quietly and slowly with tense voice and handclap; the sound of the guitar joined soon. The harmony of the sound ran in the air, it was tenderly wave or furious tone
They stepped and sounded handclap, very quick and very slow. And the speed of the dance was really quiet sometimes and, it suddenly became quick and it returned to quiet again. Big rhythm came and returned, as it was the wave of the winter sea, it was repeating. The flamenco dance was really passionate and powerful. I was afraid that they stepped on my legs because they danced before my eyes. The distance was 20cm or more narrow.

mP1110282.jpg

As we got the late time, the cave got well-lighted again; so the great show was end. The show was branded on my memory; the dancer and the sound of palom, jaelo, and step; and guitar.

Let me introduce about three toilet-equipments.

Let me introduce about three toilet-equipments

At first, the famous toilet welcomed me at Schiphol Airport of Holland. I suppose that you have watched it on TV. The design of the toilet keeps clean a circumference of the toilet. But, if the fly on the out side of the toilet, it cause a big trouble. I like very much such a design, because it is very funny and really practical use. And every one can understand easily.

m100865.jpg

mP1100866.jpg

Next is that I found the small poster on the wall of the restroom at the tourist resort of Spain.
Kanji character of “押す“ was written on the small poster. I guessed that it was difficult to flush the water for an elderly person of Japan, because the design of the toilet water tank was different of common toilet water tank design of Japan. And, the water is not convenient at Spain; usually we have to put unclean paper into a trashcan at the restroom.. I heard that when we do not get enough water sometimes, the toilet is stuffed up. And, actually the water does not flow sometimes. When I tried, the information on the small poster was so good then I could understand the system quickly; And the button was really firm. If elderly persons of Japan do not find the small information, I guess they get panic sometimes.

mP1110075.jpg

At last equipment is it, do you understand what is it?
Correct answer is that it was the washer of the hips.
I thought that it was the washer of the legs.
How about you?

Spain landing

I got back from Spain at weekend. My biggest holiday plan of this year was to go to Spain to visit the Sagrada Familia of A. Gaudi. Because, it give me the Nature feeling that it was for example the tree, and the plant. And many lives, as spiral shell were. I can get the comfortable feeling from Gaudi’s art, as I stay into the green of the globe. Therefore I made the plan at the beginning of this fiscal year. And, I was worried that I would be returning from a U.S. business trip on time. Because, when I left to the USA, I already had gotten the cheap flight ticket then I was not able to change the schedule. I was really lucky; I could back from USA on time and I could go to the Barcelona. What with one things a nd another, I had to leave the PC at home.

mP1100881.jpg

As the plane reached the Barcelona, the moon and sky of sunset, which was pale in red color, welcomed our plane. I could not get enough sleep at first night in Spain, because I had the plan to go to the Sagrada Familia next morning though I was tired by long flight. It is the famous church but the building is unfinished; then I was anxious about that I could see the good view. However; my uneasiness was broken; the church showed the great shape in front of me. I was really lucky; it was fine day during my visit, though I heard that the weather condition would be changed to bad. The exterior of the building had been completed enough shape that I could make image of all of the church. Actually, the inside was not enough, but I could make image of the finished product. It was marvelous. The view from the tower was great too. I had visited many churches in Europe, but I had never gotten such atmosphere like Sagrada familia; I got special feeling, as I stood inside of the green. I wish, I visit again there when the church will complete, if I can. And, if I can be alive at the time. Because, no one know when the church will complete.

After that I had several glasses of the beer at the lounge of Nw airline. It has the wireless Internet system. Usually I use of it, if I can, because it is really convenient for us in the Detroit airport. I checked the mail and I wrote the article for the blog. It was really short business trip, wasn’t it? I joined several meeting of English; my real impression was that English was really difficult! I have to study English harder than before.

Mane Plate of OBAMA

The big water tower told me the car arrival at next town. We could know the name of the town, because it was written on the surface of the tower. We were driving on the straight road; it seemed to continue in the straight to the end of the world. When the car reached small town, I found the shop of the nameplate, which was the wonder. I guessed, many names of the presidential candidate ware printed on the plates. But I could not understand about there names, so I found the plate of the Obama. It was only one plate that I knew the name.

mP1100821.jpg

mP1100789.jpg

When the car passed the old town, and I reached the residential street, many plates were set at front of the house. I got happy feeling, again only when I found the Obama plate, because, I did not know details of other name plate at the street. And I was surprised the atmosphere of the election, the election of USA was really different than Japanese one. Which candidate will get win? I think that it is very interesting.

The horizon at USA

The morning of the office worker is really early in the USA. Many cars usually run on the highway before 6 am already. Generally, if I want to visit a company; I have to drive two or three hours. When the meeting began at 9 am. Our departure time will be from 6 am to 7 am. Just like that the meeting was begun at 9 am, and it took about 3 hours from a hotel to the factory. Actually, I had to wake up at 5 am and I had to depart at 6 am. Extended stay hotel charge is really cheap, but they give us no breakfast service and no coffee service. Then we have a cup of coffee and eat something of food at hamburger shop, which is for example MacDonald.

mP1100746.jpg

As I neared the suburbs, the color of the sky began to be tinged with pale red color.
It was the red glow in the morning sky, but I felt that it was different of something than Japanese sky. As I passed the suburbs, I was understood why I got such a feeling.

mP1100775.jpg

mP1100778.jpg

Because, wide ground came into my view. And it was plains; therefore the sky was wider than Japanese sky. It was so broad that I could not feel the big building was big.. For example big brig, country elevator and highway were. I felt that USA was real wide, and the big car seemed smaller than real size too. Our car run two hours already, I decided to take a rest at Macdonald. The morning sun was showing me the face from gap of the cloud.
It would take about a hour to the goal from MacDo.

Hallowe'en season

As I drove the country load, many orange color pumpkins came into my eyes. As the watermelon is sold in Japan. I thought that it was selling for Hallowe’en. So, October is the month of Hallowe’en; many pumpkins remind me about it. Because, I met the Hallowe’en parade at Kyoto last October and I took many photo with old digital camera and I reported the parade on my blog. I began this blog about one year ago. It was end of October that is the season of the Hallowe’en. It is my one of the joyful memories. And I report the topic of Hallowe’en from Detroit of USA.

Good View Lunch

The morning was colder than yesterday, and rainy. It seemed weather was in middle of the autumn already. We headed a car to Big Lake, to visit a company; it was first visit of me. It took about one hour and half to Detroit to Big Lake by driving on a highway. 75 miles an hour, the car speed was about 120km an hour, so distance to the company office was about 18okm; coworker said it was near in the USA.

After business meeting, we had a lunch at restaurant, which had good view. The opposite shore was the Canada. I have not been to there yet. They said there are a good casino and good restaurants. Actually, It was really good scenery.

By the way. The volume of the soup was the double than Japan soup volume. The salad was double volume too. When I ate the soup and half of the salad, I got a feeling of fullness already. Then, I could not eat half of the main dish. And, when I drank a grass of the tea, they served me quickly another cup of the tea. I drank the three cups of the tea finally, but I could not eat half of the main dish and salad. I like the USA cuisine, but always I am afraid of the volume of it.
Please be careful, you should not order same numbers of the dish of the USA person.
If you are invited

Cloudy Detroit Airport

The plane touched down on the Detroit airport yesterday afternoon. 9 months passed already since my last visit. We usually have to make the plan of business trip quickly, if we got the request from customer. Of course, the extent of emergency depends on the details of the business. We decided that I have to visit customer quickly on this case.
With this thing and that I landed in the USA after a long time, it was cloudy Detroit airport.

Arrival time was about one hour late, and we checked-in at the hotel in a It took about 20minutes to the office from the hotel. Many big cars that looked like a monster on the high-way. This is the view of the America. When I reached the office, the jet lag came into my brain, I was really sleepy. I had strong coffee, but my brain could not get clear.
I decided to take walking a little bit. The autumn had come around our Detroit office already. Many plants had begun to be wrapped by the autumn color, which is Yellow and red. I found the autumn at Detroit・・・・・・・・・・・・・・
We will visit to the customer of more north area, if I will get luck, I will be able to see the beautiful autumn view more than office area. I am looking forward to seeing the autumn scene tomorrow.
